Ground beef curry

A delicious way to cook ground beef! Don’t wait and test this complete and balanced dish, rich in flavors

Ingredients for 2 persons

  • 300 g of ground beef
  • 400 g of chopped tomatoes and their juice (can)
  • 100 g of onions
  • 200 g of carrots
  • 100 g of potatoes
  • 50 g of cooked peas (can)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Spices and herbs powder: mild curry (2 tablespoons) – ginger (1 teaspoon) – cinnamon (½ teaspoon) – turmeric (½ teaspoon) – chilly (½ teaspoon).
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

Step 1: prepare the vegetables and potatoes

Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes.

Peel the potatoes, rinse with water and cut into small cubes.

Peel and slice the onion thin.

Step 2:

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion. When the onions are grilled, add the ground meat. Stir and continue cooking until all pieces of meat are well cooked.

When the onion and beef are cooked, add all the spices and herbs (mild curry, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and chilly).

Then add the chopped tomatoes with their juice, the carrots and potatoes.

At the end, add 400 ml of cold water so that all ingredients are covered with liquid.

Cover and cook for 20 minutes over low heat (3/10).

Step 3:

After 20 minutes of cooking, add the peas in the pan. Mix. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cover the pan again and continue cooking for 20 minutes over low heat (3/10). During this second phase of cooking, check that your mixture is still in a sauce: this dish should not be dry! If necessary add a little water during cooking and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper and curry.

This recipe includes a small portion of starch food (potatoes and peas): you can complete your dish with 100 g of cooked rice or 1 Indian naan bread to make it even more satiating.
