Vertical cucumber and salmon salad

Ingredients beautifully superimposed in a glass, here is a surprising way to present a salad! And why not put this salad in a closed jar to be able to carry it for your meals out of the home?

Ingredients for 2 persons

  • 100 g of smoked salmon
  • 200 g of cucumber
  • 250g of plain yoghurt
  • Some spring onions (only the green part) or sprigs of chives
  • Salt, pepper

Directions

Step 1:

Stir yoghurt to obtain a smooth texture.

Step 2:

Wash the spring onions in water. With a knife or scissors, finely slice the green part of the spring onion.

Take the equivalent of a big tablespoon of spring onion and mix with the yoghurt. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3:

Wash the cucumber with water.

Peel half of the skin of the cucumber: remove one band out of two.

Cut the cucumber lengthwise, then remove the seeds in the centre of the vegetable by scraping with a small spoon.

Cut the cucumber into small cubes.

Step 4:

Cut the salmon into small cubes.

Step 5: salad assembly

Prepare all the ingredients and 2 glasses or jars of about 300 ml each.

In each glass, place the ingredients in the following order:

  • 4 teaspoons of yoghurt sauce
  • ¼ pieces of cucumber
  • 2 teaspoons of yoghurt sauce
  • ¼ pieces of cucumber
  • ½ pieces of salmon
  • 1 teaspoon of yoghurt sauce
  • A little spring onion for decoration as a finishing touch.

It takes a few minutes to refrigerate before serving. Serve cold.
