This is a recipe for a cake that contains more fruits than cake batter! The fruits are finely sliced and become one with the cake batter.
Ingredients for 6 persons
- 3 apples
- 3 pears
It takes about 900 g of fruit (gross weight) for this recipe
- 2 eggs
- 60 g of fine sugar
- 100 ml of semi-skimmed milk (low fat)
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavor
- 20 g of butter
- 40 g of wheat flour
- 40 g of corn flour (Maïzena)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 ° F / 180 ° C.
To melt the butter.
Take a teaspoon of the melted butter to grease a cake mold.
In a mixing bowl, mix the following ingredients, added one by one:
– Vanilla flavor
– Melted butter
– Wheat flour
– Corn flour
– Baking powder
Mix well until smooth and even. Set aside.
Peel the apples and pears, then cut into 4 and remove the core.
Cut each piece of fruit into thin slices.
Put the fruit slices in the cake batter made in step 2.
Mix the fruit and cake batter: the dough should evenly coat the slices of apples and pears.
Pour the mixture into a buttered cake mold.
Bake at 350 ° F / 180 ° C for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes of cooking, turn off the oven and open its door: let the cake rest in the hot oven with its door open, for 30 minutes.
Unmold the cake. Serve warm or cold.
