Sesame Green Asparagus

Pan-fried fresh asparagus with sesame seeds … a simple and tasty side dish.

Ingredients for 1 person

  • 250 g of fresh green asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of dried garlic
  • 1 pinch of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • Salt

Directions

Step 1:

Break the ends where the asparagus bend naturally.

Peel, being careful not to damage the head of the asparagus

Cut into pieces the size of the asparagus head. Set aside.

Step 2:

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, ginger, garlic and chili powder. Set aside.

Step 3:

In a frying pan, heat the oil and fry the asparagus for 5 minutes over medium heat (6/10), stirring regularly.

Step 4:

After 5 minutes, add the soy mixture prepared in step 2.

Mix until the asparagus pieces are well coated with the sauce.

Continue cooking for about 3 minutes until the asparagus is tender, but still crunchy.

Step 5:

At the end of cooking, adjust the seasoning in salt, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve warm asparagus.
