Delicious melted leeks … a quick and very simple recipe. It is an ideal dish to accompany a meat or a plate of rice.

Ingredients for 2 persons
- 400 g of white leeks (= 3 or 4 leeks)
- 1 white onion
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
Directions
Step 1:
Remove the roots and the green part of the leeks. Wash the leek breasts with water.
Slice the leeks.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and cut the ends. Cut in half, remove the sprout, then wash with water.
Slice the onion.

Step 3:
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion and bay leaf

Bay leaf enhances the flavour of stewed dishes
It is not necessary to use a lot of bay leaves in a dish: one or 2 leaves are enough to flavor it. The laurel flavor releases slowly, so it is best to put it in your dish at the very start of cooking and leave it there until serving.
Add the sliced leek.
Cook over medium heat (7/10) for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
Step 4:
After 5 minutes of cooking, add the soy sauce and sesame seeds. Mix.

Put a lid on the pan. Continue cooking, stirring regularly, over medium heat (7/10) until the leeks are brown.

During the cooking, adjust the salt seasoning: add water if the preparation is too salty to your taste or add soy sauce if the preparation is not salty enough to your taste.
At the end of cooking, remove the bay leaves.
Serve your dish hot.
