Ingredients for 2 persons

  • 2 boneless pork loin ribs (or boneless chops or pork cutlets)

For the pork marinade: soy sauce (2 teaspoons), corn flour or Maïzena (2 teaspoons) and water (2 teaspoons)

  • 1 red onion
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
  • 100 ml of beef broth (1/2 cup) = ½ cube of beef stock + 100 ml of water
  • 1 teaspoon of corn flour or Maïzena
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Directions

Step 1:

After removing excess fat, cut the pork into regular pieces.

In a bowl, mix pork pieces with marinade ingredients: soy sauce (2 teaspoons), corn flour or Maïzena (2 teaspoons) and water (2 teaspoons).

Cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate during 15 minutes.

Step 2:

Peel and cut the onion into small squares.

Wash and cut the bell peppers into squares.

Step 3:

Drain the pork pieces. Keep the excess marinade.

In a frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and brown the pieces of pork. Continue cooking until all pork pieces are golden brown.

Take the pork pieces out of the pan and place them on a plate. Cover and set aside.

Step 4:

In the pan, mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil, onion, garlic and pepper.

Brown over high heat (8/10) for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the bell pepper pieces and continue cooking for 5 minutes.

Step 5:

Reduce the intensity of the fire and add the beef broth. Put a lid on the pan and cook over medium heat (5/10) for 5 minutes.

While the bell peppers cook… In a mixing bowl, dilute 1 teaspoon of corn flour in a little water and mix with the rest of the marinade.

Pour this mixture into the pan with the bell peppers. Mix.

Continue cooking the bell peppers with this sauce for 2 minutes; stir constantly, the sauce will begin to thicken.

Step 6:

To finish, add the pieces of pork and honey. Mix. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Continue cooking over medium heat (5/10) for a few minutes so as to obtain a uniform temperature for your dish. Serve hot.

Possible variant: cook the pork on the barbecue and serve it with bell peppers in sauce!
